Volunteers

Our hockey club is founded on the efforts of our volunteers, and without them the club wouldn’t function. We encourage all our members to get involved in volunteering and as such, all our members are asked to complete a single hour of volunteering every season. There are numerous volunteer opportunities both on and off the pitch.

Current Volunteering Opportunities

Youth

There are going to be a lot of changes to youth this year, including monthly masterclasses, to really try and maximise the potential of all our kids. You don’t need any prior experience and if you enjoy it, the club can offer you coaching courses to help you gain confidence. You won’t be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with but come down for a session and give it a go.

Forest Flyerz

The Flyerz lost a few of their regular volunteers towards the end of last season with people moving away or circumstances changing. They are looking for a couple of friendly faces to come down to a taster session. Please contact Dobby if you are interested or to find out more.

Umpiring

Our club as well as many other clubs are always on the look out for umpires!

You could volunteer your time by learning how to umpire at a club level as a Level 1 Umpire or develop your skills further and progress through the umpire development pathway.
