Volunteers

Our hockey club is founded on the efforts of our volunteers, and without them the club wouldn’t function. We encourage all our members to get involved in volunteering and as such, all our members are asked to complete a single hour of volunteering every season. There are numerous volunteer opportunities both on and off the pitch.

Our volunteer co-ordinator, Maria, is an excellent hockey player who also works tirelessly to find opportunities for everyone that wants to volunteer. Maria will be regularly informing members of chances to volunteer, so if you have any questions please get in touch with her or fill out the volunteer survey to let her know what you’d like to hear more about

These sessions are a chance for you to speak to some of our current volunteers, find out about the wide range of volunteering opportunities the club can offer, learn about how we support our volunteers and take part in some practical exercises to give you a taste of volunteering. Current Volunteering Opportunities

Youth

There are going to be a lot of changes to youth this year, including monthly masterclasses, to really try and maximise the potential of all our kids. You don’t need any prior experience and if you enjoy it, the club can offer you coaching courses to help you gain confidence. You won’t be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with but come down for a session and give it a go.

Please contact Phil if you are interested or to find out more.

Forest Flyerz

The Flyerz lost a few of their regular volunteers towards the end of last season with people moving away or circumstances changing. They are looking for a couple of friendly faces to come down to a taster session. Please contact Dobby if you are interested or to find out more.
