Membership And Match Fees
We are shifting to a new payment system whereby the annual membership fee is paid via a joining fee at the start of the year on Spond, and then a direct debit over the following 7 months, from September to March (inclusive) or you have the option to pay in full. Club members will no longer have to pay match fees during league games.

This page shows how much it costs to play for Waltham Forest Hockey Club. Our fees are calculated by the club treasurer, then reviewed by the committee and are agreed by the members at the AGM for the forthcoming season. This is to ensure that the club does not run at a loss.
Adult Memberships
Full Adult Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60 plus 7 x monthly direct debits (September to March) of £45 totalling to £375.
Concession* Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60 plus 7 x monthly direct debits (September to March) of £20 totalling to £200.
ABC Adult** Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £10 plus 7 x monthly direct debits (September to March) of £45 totalling to £325.
WFHC Uni Students (Living away) Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £10
Casual Adult Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60 plus £18 per league match played (Max number of league 8 matches)
Casual Goalkeeper (with own kit) / Concessions* Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60 plus £10 per league match played (Max number of league 8 matches)
Youth Memberships
Youth (League) (age 13-17) Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60 plus 7 x monthly direct debits (September to March) of £14 totalling to £158.
Youth (Non-League) (age 8-16) Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) of £60
Under 8s (age 6-7) Membership:
Annual Membership Fee (AMF) fee of £30
Under 6 (U6) (age 2-5) Membership:
£FREE
*Concession = Age 18+ in full-time education/ pensioner
**ABC Adult = New players to WFHC aged 18+ who attended at least one Adult Beginners Course (ABC) session before the new season. £50 off the Annual Membership Fee will be waived for the first year only. The fee waiver is not available to other membership types.
How do I set up the direct debit?
The DD will be set up on Spond via an invite from the membership secretaries
The deadline for setting up your direct debit and paying the joining fee is 11:59pm on TBC
What’s included in my membership?
The below lists are an approximate number of sessions and are subject to slight alterations dependent on the number of teams entered into league divisions, slip dates and adverse weather conditions (e.g. frozen pitch). The Club will endeavour to replace any lost sessions with an alternative where reasonably possible.

6 summer league matches
15 social hockey (first 15 sessions run by the Club)

36 U8 training sessions
Insurance: club members are advised, as when playing any sport, to obtain their own personal injury insurance.
