Sessions

Forest Flyerz is for anyone with any disability, of any level or experience, aged 6+.

We’ve been running our sessions since 2011, and in that time we’ve seen our Flyerz members continue to improve their hockey skills, make new friends, play alongside England hockey internationals, as well as also improve co-ordination, social skills and teamwork. And most importantly, members, coaches and volunteers are having an absolute blast!

We use mainstream hockey equipment, as well as lighter sticks and balls where necessary, and all equipment can be adapted further as necessary to enable anyone to play. All equipment is provided, and sessions are FREE – all you need to do is turn up!

Sessions are run by qualified coaches, and we have a large group of brilliant volunteers who ensure that every participant gets the support he or she needs (all volunteers are DBS-checked and receive regular training). By providing such personal attention, we ensure that anyone who wants to play hockey can play hockey. Our session are provided in a safe, caring and enjoyable environment designed to maximise everyone’s abilities.

Forest Flyerz is a fun place to belong, so come and give it a go – it doesn’t matter if you come along every week, or just once in a while – whatever suits you. Siblings won’t be left out! Our sessions run at the same time as the club’s mainstream youth hockey coaching.
