Match Reports (Current Season)

14th & 15th April 2018

Ladies 1s

Not the end of season win that the ladies 1s had hoped for today. Unfortunately we lost 5-1,meaning we finished 5th in the league instead of 4th.

It was difficult in the heat, but we all worked incredibly hard! Second half of the match was much better than the first!!

A MASSIVE thank you to Uzair for being such a superb coach this season! We’ve enjoyed every minute of your coaching! Looking forward already to our promotion fight next year!! 👍😀

On to our team Ceilidh next week and then the Dinner Dance! Lots to look forward to!

Thank you to all the team for a wonderful season!

Umpires…you have also been fantastic, this club wouldn’t work without you! 💪🏼

Ladies 2s

L2-1 Upminster

Ladies 3s

So this is the last match report people! Has been “reel” whey!!!! Moving on…………….

Ladies 3s near the bottom of the league made the now top of the league sweat buckets, murmur loudly and give evil glares. Yo we did ourselves proud with quality hockey throughout, frustrating them and in their words giving them their “hardest match of the season”. Top stuff! Unfortunately they scored in the dying seconds. Walt Forest 0-1 Wapps!

It has been an honour playing and reporting with/for you!!! Peace 😎✌

Ladies 4s

L6-0 Chelmsford

Men’s 3s

L4-3 Clacton

Men’s 5s

At last, it’s over…..Men’s 5’s played top of the table and Champions Tower Hamlets at Lee Valley today for the last run out of the season.

The 5’s started very well and kept the basics to a good standard and were rewarded with two early strikes and a 2-0 lead after 15 minutes. I’m sorry, I didn’t see who scored…

Tower Hamlets then started to play their way into the game but only drew level with 2 relatively lucky goals, one scramble in the D and the second through a massive hit into the D and a deflection.

The game was well contested in the second half but sadly we couldn’t score again and Tower Hamlets won 4-2. Given it was top versus bottom, this was a good score line and thanks for all the effort today team.

Lastly, a huge thanks to all the players that have helped us out at various games through the season, much appreciated.

Finished with a team photo so brief apologies to the regular players who were missing today.
