Training schedule

The club runs training from mid-August until the end of the winter hockey season, usually around April. Each training group is provided with an England Hockey qualified coach and enough pitch space to train effectively. Training sessions are as follows:

Senior training

For the 2018/19 season, training from Sept to March:
Tuesday 8.15pm-10pm: Ladies 1 & 2
Wednesday 8pm-10pm: Men’s 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (Otters)
Thursday 8pm-10pm: Ladies 3 & 4


Junior & Flyerz training

Junior and Flyerz training
Tuesday 7pm-8:15pm: Juniors
Tuesday 7pm-8:15pm: Flyerz
Thursday 7pm-8:15pm: Youth

Under 8s train on Saturdays – every fortnight. (9 or 10am)

Training essentials

We recommend you bring a few important pieces of equipment to training sessions:

  • A drink
  • Shin pads
  • A mouthguard (gumshield)
  • Suitable clothing and footwear for activity



All of our coaches are qualified Level 1 or 2 England Hockey coaches. All the coaches work hard to improve the training offered to members and to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their training sessions.
