Waltham Forest Hockey Club play both league and friendly
mixed hockey.
Our mixed home ground is Peter May Sports Centre
(The Health Club) on Wadham Road, in Highams Park and also sometimes
Drapers Field Astro in Leyton.

Won 6-4
Two words - WE WON!
A goal fest match in which we managed to get 6 goals past their rude
and grumpy goalie, to win 6-4. Well done everyone - first win of the
season! A great turnout of players too - looking forward to the next
match for our next win! (10 Feb)

Sunday 25th November Old Loughtonians V Waltham Forest.
Lost 1-3
Yesturday's match was against Old Loughts, who
didn't seem as hungover as we were, so were actually quite speedy.
However with Yogi in goal we managed to prevent them from scoring
until after half time. Final score 3-1 to Old Loughts.

Sunday 11th November 1500 - Redbridge &
Ilford 2 V Waltham Forest. Lost 3-2
Hangovers rife, we battled against Redbridge
yesturday afternoon - quite literally, the amount of blood and bruises
some people ended up with! We came back from 3-0 down at half
time, scoring 2 great goals, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to
win.

Sunday 4th November 1430 - Waltham Forest V Wapping
Pirates. Lost 0-4
It was the first mixed match of the season yesturday,
and the final score was 4-0 to Wapping. A good game, the hangovers
weren't too big, and only 1-0 at half time. Final 5 minutes
saw 3 goals conceded - we had obviously shifted our thoughts to that
post match beer!
