Congratulations to the Ladies on
winning the Essex County Rosebowl competition on Sept 1st, 2007.
A penalty corner from Kath Tucker saw Forest equalise vs Chelmsford
just before full time, to take the final to flicks. Mog Campbell pulled
off a couple of superb saves and the Forest ladies converted all their
flicks to retain the Rosebowl for the second year.
Winners: The men's summer league first team consisting
of players from the winter first and second teams won the Redbridge
Summer League. In the first league stage containing all the 8 teams,
Waltham Forest finished top, including comprehensive wins against
the likes of Wapping and White Horse. As a result we entered the top
group for the second league stage, and a combined score of 17-2 against
East London and Romford meant that we only needed to draw against
a very strong Plashet team to win the tournament, which was achieved
with a final score of 2-2.
TOURNAMENTS
There WILL be a tournament at the end of the season
2008 - watch this space!
