Club Badge History
The club badge was designed an ex Wanstead player Paul
Lidbury.
Elements of the badge explained:
Red Rose of The Hockey Association.
Blue Shield of the Essex County Association.
White hart or stag and shield/oak trees from the coat of arms of the
Borough of Waltham Forest, wearing the red and gold colours of West
Essex HC, which amalgamated with Wanstead HC in 1974/75.
Heron, wearing blue and white, the emblem and colours of Wanstead
HC, and also part of the coat of arms of the Borough of Wanstead and
Woodford. Wanstead HC relocated to become Waltham Forest HC in 1989.
In 2010 we created a new vector version
of the club badge, including some updates to give it a more modern
feel, whilst retaining the traditional and historical elements.
